1/2" Threaded Pro-Pal Full Port Ball Valve w/ Hose Drain - Lead Free

I recently repaired a point of use tankless water heater and wanted to add service valves because it wasn't installed with them. The inlet and outlet are 1/2" compression fittings. So I used a couple fittings to convert over to 1/2 pipe thread and these fit right in. Now the yearly maintenance flush can be done in place.

I use this valve in my food truck attached to my on-demand water heater hot and cold side to drain my water lines especially in freezing temps and for cleaning. It looks well built and operates as I feel they should. First time it failed during one winter my fault I thought but subsequent times it seems like the failure is in the same area, and that area is at the threaded female ends. It seems like the casting is weak as there always seems to be a hairline crack on the side wall of the internal threads allowing water to seep out. Even if frozen this seems like an odd place to crack. Inferior casting or metals?? I will see how long this last one lives. I would recommend with caution!

This product makes for easy draining of water out of my system, well worth the money.

I bought this to use as winterizing/antifreeze valve. The valves designed for rv use restrict water flow substantially when in normal use but this is full flow and of higher quality. Highly recommend!

Worth every penny. Helps if your expansion tank ever fails.

I installed these before my boiler expansion tank and before the pressure relief valve. Easy and solid. Now I have two more places to bleed my boiler as well as an easy way too isolate and replace those items if they fail.

It's what I need to drain back outside faucets.
