This fitting is not designed for soldering. It has 1/2" pipe threads on one end, and a "ProPEX" fitting on the other. This would screw into a 1/2" female pipe fitting or valve, and a 1/2" ProPEX line would be installed on the other end.
It couldn't be sweated directly to this brass fitting. You would need to either sweat a 1/2" female copper fitting to the cooper then connect them or, the easiest, connect the two with a push on fitting, like a Shark Bite or Gator Bite, or whatever brand SupplyHouse carries. Push fittings can connect copper, cpvc, or PEX without threads, glue, or sweating.
Since this is a ProPEX fitting, it will only work with PEX-A grade tubing. PEX-A is CTS/SDR-9. PEX-B and PEX-C pipe also meet these dimensional specifications, but they do not work with ProPEX fittings. ProPEX fittings require PEX to be expanded before the fitting will fit inside the pipe, but only PEX-A has sufficient shape memory to shrink back to size securely around these adapters.
ProPEX fittings can only be used with type A PEX Worsbo For example. This type of connection can only be made within expansion tool which is expensive. If you're only going to make a few connections it doesn't pay. Shark bite fittings are easier to use and don't require a lot of expertise to use. They will work with any type PEX or copper.
You can use any faucet adapter with a 1/2" female threaded inlet with the LF4525050 fitting.
Most of the time these are used to transition from something to pex such as shower valves, angle stops, or anything that needs male npt threads to transfer from pex. Most faucets need a separate supply line from your angle stop valve to the faucet. Sent from my iPhone
Any will work with it, but you will have a mounting issue. It would be wiser to go with a drop ear elbow and then a brass nipple to a valve to standard connector hose to your sink/whatever. That way it is securely anchored in wall and you will be able to turn the valve with one hand.
this one has 1/2 fip and 3/8 comp fittings B1F16 16" Faucet Connector http://www.pexsupply.com/Fluidmaster-B1F16-B1F16-16-Faucet-Connector
It is, but it requires a ProPEX expansion tool. You can also use PEX crimp, clamp, push-fit, or compression fittings with AquaPEX tubing.
Most certainly, as long as you desire to connect a 1/2” female item to 1/2” pex line the fitting pictured will work nicely. Have a good day.
Yes, it is the expansion type. So as long as you have the expansion tool and plastic ring you can connect the uponor tubing to it. Just make sure you use teflon tape on the threads and thread it on before you connect the pex. Sent from my iPhone
Yes. 1/2" aquapex tube.
This fitting is used to connect 1/2" pex to a 1/2" national pipe thread fitting.
Yes, this will work.
YES
Yes, it is.
Yes you can thread it into galvanized and then attach the pex to the other end!
Yes, but the brass alloy causes corrosion after about a year.
