Great Boiler
Great Boiler, however; you are taking chances, of getting a leaker. If you installed yourself, forget the warranty from the producer, so be aware of that. Better getting from a friend who is a plumber or your local plumbing supply house.

Q: What size Diaphragm expansion tank is recommenced for this unit if used with a Hydronic baseboard system? The reason I ask is it's rated at 51000 net so it's boarderline for the smaller tank but may need the larger tank.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffWe would recommend a #30 expansion tank (e.g. Amtrol part 102-1). 51,000 BTUs is on the borderline between a #15 and a #30 as you mentioned, but going up a size is the safe thing to do. The only harm in oversizing an expansion tank is the added equipment cost.
