You must execute the following steps: 1. Press the Special Setting button once. 2. The display shows the units icon (°F or °C). 3. Press the + (top) or – (bottom) button to change the units. 4. The thermostat accepts thechange five seconds after pressing the last button, and then the thermostat returns to normal operation.
Take the thermostat off the wall mounting bracket by gently pushing down on the top this should split the unit from the wall plate. Inside they have a button called the special setting button. Push this once, then using the + and - buttons you can change units from F to C
You can set a 2°F differential. Please see page 4 of the following manual for more information: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1294429173704/43534_PROD_FILE.pdf
You can use the A3030101 thermostat, but this unit does not have a floor sensor like the 511s.
The Wirsbo WT1 Heat only 2 wire thermostat is a great replacement for your Wirsbo Setpoint 511S. The Wirsbo WT1 Heat only 2 wire thermostat has many additional features such as condition--differential and pulse-width modulation and digital filtering.
I just replaced one of my Wirsbo setpoint thermostats with the Uponor WT1 models and my system is working great again. The WT1 is a much better thermostat than my original Wirsbo (and it's not made in China!).
You should be able to use any low-voltage thermostat. The thermostat itself always goes on the wall, but it is a good idea to use a slab sensor with radiant heat. The Uponor A3041501 thermostat is a non-programmable model that comes with a slab sensor.
It seems to us as if the thermostat is the issue. We recommend that you use a digital thermostat (they are more accurate). The swing setting on the mechanical thermostat is probably too high. This Uponor thermostat should make your system work much better and allow you to feel more comfortable.
If the thermostat calls for heat and is wired correctly, the relay should activate.
This thermostat will be compatible with the ZVC405. The PVM mode is designed to prevent the room temperature from rising above the desired level. It should only shorten the on times of the boiler, rather than making it turn on more frequently. If you do not want to use PVM mode, you can use differential mode instead.
They can, as long as the system will work with low voltage.
The Special Setting button can be found on the inside of the thermostat case. When using this button, the thermostat must be wired and have power, but needs to be separate from the wall mounting plate. More information on this button, as well as instructions for changing the default upper and lower temperature limits can be found on page 4 of the manual ( http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1286975873009/40450_PROD_FILE.pdf ).
The thermostat is covered by an 18-month warranty from the date of installation.
