Horrible product to work with
Nothing can be cut, so the appliance has to be installed wherever the venting ends up. Had issues with the silicone gaskets sliding off when putting pipes together, 30 years in the business, and this is the worst stuff I've ever installed. If you are installing a tankless water heater do your self a favor and get the model that uses PVC venting.

I recommend
I used this for a vertical install of my garage 80k Mr. Heater. It worked perfectly as my heater called for category III and did not require a double wall. I did not have to go out far out side because I didn't have to clear an eve. The flush mount zpipe is a nice touch.

If needed I would buy again
Used this for a Marley tankless water heater. Good materials, well made, and easy to put together and install. Only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the directions/installation instructions could be better but for that was not a problem. Delivery was fast and packed well.

Best to use something that can handle heat..I used hydraulic cement which sets in a few minutes with no risk of fire. Joe

I would not suggest that you do. Pack non Kraft face insulation around it. Make sure you do not block any oenings around it. I hope this helps.

Q: Hello, I am installing a TK-3 tankless water heater on my basement wall. The concrete wall is 10" thick will this kit be adequate and does the adapter fit on the TK-3 unit with no issues? thank you Scott Nottestad

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffUnfortunately this unit would not be sufficient as this wall thimble only works with walls up to 7" thick. None of the units we carry on our site work for 10" thick walls. The manufacturer may make such a unit but it would be a special order unit. If you would like more information you can contact a customer service representative.

A wall thimble isn't needed for passing through non-combustible materials (i.e. concrete). However, you might actually be passing above the concrete wall and through the siding so I would guess that the included thimble would work.
