Hi Yolanda, thanks for writing in. The 110U is considered the suggested alternative for the T-KJr2, however it only goes up to 140 degrees F. The TK-510U is capable of going up to 160 degrees with the temperature controller if you would like to check that unit out: https://www.supplyhouse.com/Takagi-TK-510U-I-Series-200-Ultra-Low-NOx-Non-Condensing-Indoor-Tankless-Water-Heater-10-GPM-NG-LP
Hi Thai, thanks for writing in. This should be vented with 4" category III stainless steel, so as long as that is what you are currently using, it will work with this unit as well.
Hi Blake. In any areas subject to freezing temperatures, the manufacturer highly recommends an indoor installation with an indoor model such as this one. In such an installation, freezing issues can occur if cold air enters through the venting into the heat exchanger, whether by negative pressures within the installation location or by strong outside winds. The manufacturer also highly recommends the use of a backflow preventer (sold separately) to minimize the amount of cold air entering through the exhaust venting when the water heater is off. The unit is also equipped with heating blocks to protect it against damages associated with freezing, called the Freeze Protection System. Keep in mind, however, for the Freeze Protection System to work, there must remain power to the unit.
This is a Non-Condensing unit so a condensate collector is not mandated by install however, any condensation that may build up within the venting system would best be drained from a condensate port than going back into the unit and damaging the heat exchanger so our suggestion would be yes.
No, none of the Tankless Water Heaters will come with the venting pipe because venting depends on local code, and thus it would be different customer to customer
