Quality pump

Extremely well built. Solid metal, heavy. Runs quietly, pumps effluent super fast, and was easy to hook-up to existing systems. This was a direct replacement for defective pump. Old unit suffered from failure not due to pump fault, but from previous installation error on the float system, causing the pump to constanly run until it burned out. Make sure float-level system is installed corectly with proper, and appropriate, ties.

Works great and is very quiet

I have a sump pit for foundation drain tiles, a floor drain and a utility sink that a washing machine drains into. The previous pumps that I have used were all automatic pumps with attached floats. They all let too much water collect in the pit before turning on. This allowed water to back up out of the floor drain in the utility room at times. I paired this non-automatic pump with a separate vertical float switch that I can move up or down the discharge pipe so I can set the level at which I want the pump to turn on. No more water backing up out of the floor drain. The pump is also much quieter than previous pumps. I can't hear it run with the pit cover on. I expect it to last longer than previous pumps because usually the switch fails before the pump.

2nd pump

This pump is excellent for my sump pump in my basement. I bought 2 of the exact model. The second is so I can maintain it and make the life longer. I am going to run the newest one for 3 years until the warranty expires, then I'll switch them out every year or 2, while the other can be cleaned. The first one went 8 years before stopping. The only reason it stopped was the rust build up , because after 8 years I took it out and soaked it in Oxalic acid mixed with water and it runs like new again.

Great Service

The pump arrived as scheduled on line. It was packed very well on all sides except the bottom of the box where the base was. One leg was broken off and I epoxied it back on and added support with a cast of hot melt glue. Workes great. No problem. A pleasure to do business with and excellent prices.

nice powerful pump

Paired this purchase with the Levelguard switch. Works great in the tight quarters of my basement sump pit. Went from 1/3hp to this 1/2hp pump and it makes quite a difference. Rise is about 13-14 feet with three 90-degree bends. Very fast emptying of the pit. It runs on average about 2-3 hours per week. Time will tell how well it lasts.

Excellent Durability and Just Works!

This is the second one of these I have installed. The first is still performing excellently after five years with NO issues. So when I needed another pump for another project I did not hesitate to duplicate the install. This pump is easy to install, rugged and just works day after day.

ASK A QUESTION

Q: What type of hose diameter can I use with this, can I use corrugated plastic piping (sold by local hardware store) or a fire hose (where can I get that? I want about 1 1/2 in id to quickly get the water from our crawl space, IF our float switch sump pump fails.

The corrugated plastic piping (sold by local hardware store) worked for me. You can always adapt to whatever you need.

Q: Why does it say "Non-Automatic"?

Non-automatic pumps must be turned on manually. Automatic pumps turn on at set intervals in order to detect the presence of water.

Because this pump does not have it's own integral 'on/off' switch mechanism. You must supply the control as a seperate device.
