Description

iSpring RCC7AK 6-Stage NSF Certified Under Sink Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System with Alkaline Remineralization

The iSpring RCC7AK is a 6-stage under sink reverse osmosis system certified to NSF/ANSI 58 standards that removes up to 99% of over 1,000 contaminants from your drinking water. This system uses a 75-gallon-per-day RO membrane to filter out lead, chlorine, fluoride, arsenic, asbestos, calcium, sodium, and hundreds of other dissolved solids, then adds a sixth stage alkaline remineralization filter to restore healthy minerals and balanced pH. Unlike standard 5-stage systems that produce slightly acidic water with a pH of 7.0 or below, the RCC7AK's alkaline filter brings water back to a balanced pH for better taste and mineral content. Designed for residential under-sink installation, it fits beneath a standard kitchen sink and includes everything needed for DIY setup, typically completed in a couple of hours.

Key Features & Benefits
  • NSF/ANSI 58 Certification for TDS Reduction: This system meets strict NSF 58 standards for reverse osmosis performance, verifying its ability to reduce total dissolved solids. You get documented contaminant removal backed by independent third-party testing.

  • 6-Stage Filtration with Alkaline Remineralization: The first five stages remove contaminants through sediment, carbon, and reverse osmosis filtration, while the sixth stage alkaline filter restores healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium to produce balanced alkalinity. Standard RO systems strip minerals and produce acidic water; this system puts beneficial minerals back in for improved taste and pH balance.

  • 75 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane: The multilayer RO membrane processes up to 75 gallons per day, providing ample filtered water for drinking, cooking, and beverage preparation. This flow rate supports typical household needs without long wait times to refill containers.

  • Clear First-Stage Housing: The transparent housing on the first sediment filter lets you visually inspect filter condition at a glance. You can see when sediment accumulation requires a filter change instead of guessing based on time alone.

  • Quick-Connect Push-Fit Tubing: All tubing connections use push-to-connect fittings that lock with a simple half-inch push and clip. Installation requires no threading, soldering, or specialized plumbing skills, and disassembly for filter changes is just as straightforward.

  • Lead-Free Brushed Nickel Faucet: The included solid brass faucet has a brushed nickel finish and meets lead-free standards for drinking water contact. It mounts on your countertop as a dedicated filtered water tap, keeping your main faucet free for regular sink use.

  • Pressure Tank with Built-In Storage: The system includes a pressurized storage tank that holds filtered water for immediate dispensing. When you open the faucet, stored water flows out instantly rather than waiting for the RO membrane to process each glass.

  • Extra Parts Included: Multiple spare components ship with the system to support installation variations and future maintenance. These extras help ensure you can complete setup regardless of your specific under-sink configuration.

Compatibility & Requirements

This system requires incoming water pressure between 45 PSI and 70 PSI and operates in water temperatures from 40°F to 100°F. Maximum total dissolved solids (TDS) in the source water should not exceed 750 ppm. Install the system in a location protected from freezing temperatures, extreme heat, and direct sunlight. The RO membrane and filters are designed to handle municipal tap water; well water or other sources with high sediment, hardness, or bacterial content may require pretreatment or more frequent filter changes.

Installation & Care

Installation is designed for DIY completion using the included instructions, online videos, and phone support from iSpring's Atlanta-based technical team. The system mounts under a standard kitchen sink with all necessary parts provided except Teflon tape for threaded connections. A hole must be drilled through the countertop or sink deck to mount the faucet (check clearance for sink clips below the mounting point). The drain line connects via a saddle valve or direct fitting to your sink's drainpipe. After installation, flush the system according to the included startup procedure to remove any manufacturing residue and activate the filters. Replace the sediment and carbon pre-filters every 6 to 12 months, the RO membrane every 2 to 3 years, and the alkaline filter annually, based on water quality and usage.

What's Included
  • 3 pre-filter housings with sediment and carbon filters installed

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How often should I replace the filters in the iSpring 6-stage system?

A: Replace the first-stage sediment filter, second-stage GAC filter, and third-stage CTO carbon block filter every 6 to 12 months depending on your water quality and household usage. The reverse osmosis membrane should be replaced every 2 to 3 years. The sixth-stage alkaline remineralization filter requires annual replacement. iSpring offers complete filter replacement kits (F9K for 1 year of filters, F19K75 for 2 years) with all cartridges needed for scheduled maintenance.

Q: What contaminants does the iSpring RCC7AK remove?

A: The system is certified to NSF/ANSI 58 standards and removes up to 99% of over 1,000 contaminants including lead, chlorine, fluoride, arsenic, asbestos, calcium, sodium, and other dissolved solids. The multi-stage filtration process targets heavy metals, chemicals, sediment, and taste and odor compounds. It reduces total dissolved solids (TDS) to produce purified drinking water.

Works well. Great product and installation support.

The installation video is well done. Initially, the diverter piece was leaking (even after taping the threads). I contacted iSpring support and Francis sent a replacement part. Thank you, Francis!

Excellent RO System

I replaced an older AquaSource RO system with this 6-stage iSpring one. It came with a nice quality non air gap faucet (1-line) that was a lot easier to install than my older air-gap (3-line) faucet. If you drill a hole through the countertop for the faucet make sure you don't drill the hole to big and avoid the sink clips underneath (to include giving yourself enough room for the required washer and plastic holding screw) or else your faucet will tighten on an angle. System came with instructions and all required parts (plus some extra) except teflon tape. I recommend using the YouTube video to install it. I found numerous videos available that really did help. Installation took me about an 1 1/2 because I could not use the drain saddle and had to devise a way to drain the system. I ended up using a 1/2" screw by 1/8" quick connector (came with extra parts). I drilled a 1/2" hole into the drain (not the trap) and screwed it in using a little sealant. Ended up being very tight but put some silicone over the edges just for security to prevent any leakage. After the RO was fully installed I turned the system on as described in the instructions and found 4 leaks (all my fault). #1. Make sure when you screw the pressure tank control connection on you look at the black o-ring and ensure it is seated correctly and use a generous amount of teflon tape on the screw top. #2-4. Make sure when you put the 1/8" plastic tubes in the connectors you gently press all the way in to hear almost like a click. Then ensure ALL connections have the retainer clips installed (comes with extras if needed). Once I repaired those items it was perfect with a real nice strong flow.

It is really good water filter for my family!

I've been using this filter for a long time in my home country, so when I found this filter in the US, I was very happy! For healthy drinking and cooking, I don't know of a more effective filter.

Drinking water- peace of mind

I purchased this after a toxic train derailment in my state because of concerns of the drinking water being contaminated. After looking into water quality reports in the area, I realized I should have purchased one of these years ago. I have been using it for about 4 months now and even my skin has cleared up.
