The 50A55-743 is an automatic gas interrupted ignition
control that employs a microprocessor to continually
monitor, analyze, and control the proper operation of the
gas burner, inducer, and fan.
Signals interpreted during continual surveillance of the thermostat and flame sensing element initiate automatic ignition of the burner, sensing of the flame, and system shut-off during normal operation.
Features
These controls incorporate system fault analysis for quick gas flow shut-off, coupled with automatic ignition retry upon sensing a fault correction. It is designed as a replacement for the following controls:

Great part that fixed my furnace
My furnace stopped working a few days before Christmas. Troubleshooting reveled that my circuit board had gone out. Live out in the middle of no-where - and could not find this part in stock within in a 2 hour drive in all directions. Got on the phone with the nice lady at Supply House - she confirmed the part was in stock and I could have the shipment expedited (I do have UPS delivery out in no-where). Part showed up at 3:00 PM on Christmas Eve - and furnace was shortly back up and running. Thank you.
