I bought this unit primarily because it was a form/fit replacement for my old hot water heater. It wasn't cheap but it saved a lot of time/money to install it because there was very little re-plumbing of the water, gas or exhaust venting needed to install it which made it a pretty good value. My only warning to any buyer from SupplyHouse is this one thing; they ship exclusively with Old Dominion and Old Dominion only makes deliveries with full size tractor trailers. If you live on a road that doesn't allow full size tractor trailers OR if you have a long driveway an the truck can not pull into it then you are probably going to have to receive the shipment at the nearest Old Dominion warehouse. In my cases that was 25 miles away and required a truck to go get it. I expressed this concern with the customer service support team before I purchased the unit who didn't think it would be a problem. They were very wrong but it all worked out. I picked it up and the install was easy but not everyone has a truck or a strong enough back to get the unit off the truck. Fortunately, I have both. Had it been delivered as promised than I would have given them 5 stars. Maybe 4.5 stars had they only told me up front I needed to go get it myself.

Product arrived perfectly packaged and in a timely manner as promised, my only complaint was that I was lead to believe that it was coming on a small truck with a lift gate, able to deliver to my home, and it came on an 18 wheeler, so I had to make arrangements to have it dropped off and then haul it on into my house by trailer. Aside from that, all was perfect!

I was a bit apprehensive about ordering an expensive water heater online. I needed a 75 gal propane model. None of the big box stores had this size or type. I really liked the ability to compare multiple products for an item that is difficult to find. The price was better than anywhere I looked. I placed my order only to realize I had ordered a natural gas model instead of a propane version. I immediately called customer service and they couldn't be nicer or more helpful. They assured me that even if it had left the dock, they would reroute it back. By the end of the day, the cancelation came through in email. I got the propane version ordered right away and within a week, the freight truck showed up. I was extremely pleased that shipping and lift gate service was free! That is somewhat unusual for a 300+ lb item. The crate arrived in good shape. I did notice that the box had gotten a bit wet at some point. Probably during shipping, but it wasn't really an issue. AO Smith does a good job packaging this item so it doesn't get abused during transport. The install is moderately complex and I recommend you have it done professionally. I'm a retired engineer and have done a lot of house renovations so I had the tools and know how. Figuring out where to install the 3" vent pipe required some thought and design up front. What is pretty nice about this unit is you can rotate the vent outlet on the unit itself. This fact iced the purchase for me because the unit has an overall height of 72" and I only had 74" to work with in my basement. Install went smoothly and it started up as designed. Very pleased with the overall experience and will definitely do more business with Supply House. Excellent product and outstanding customer service!

the product hasn't made it to local. Carrier and I still don't have it. It's a hot water heater being delayed multiple times.
