The AMTROL FILL-TROL+ system consists of a specially adapted EXTROL+ pre-pressurized, diaphragm-type expansion tank, and the FILL-TROL, a specially designed, automatic, fill valve.

Exactly as advertised and very fast!

Life expectancy
Had to replace an identical unit that was only 4 years old. Tank had rusted thru and lost pressure. Hoping this one lasts longer.

Great product
I've installed several auto Fill-Trols. These are a great product. I've never had any failures with them. They eliminate the need for a separate pressure regulator thus saving installation time and reduce the quantity of potential leak points. One possible improvement would be to cast the purger right into the Fill-Trol valve body and offer connection options like Spirovent has.

Works Exactly as Promised
I bought my Fill-trol 109 (expansion tank) as an exact replacement for the one before it; as per an HVAC professional's advice, I ordered it with a new valve. It barely took 10 minutes to swap them out, and the water pressure in the heating line has been perfectly consistent ever since.
