- EPDM diaphragm operated (cast iron models) and diaphragm assisted (bronze models) have an effective area approximately 5 times greater than conventional "pop-type" relief valves to help overcome the effects of fouling.
- Low differential between opening and closing pressures helps to prevent conditions under which system water might flash to steam and cause hammering

Outstanding Service!
I ordered this pressure relief valve to replace an existing valve that no longer worked. Upon installing the replacement valve I was disappointed to see that the new valve had a very slow leak. I called the customer service team to let them know and found the service to be exceptional! I had a replacement valve in two days, I was not charged for the replacement and there was no additional shipping cost. I was provided a return label and once the part was replaced there were no further leaks. The defective part has been returned and I would definitely use this company again.

Last one lasted 20 years
Its a pressure relief valve.... I say the last one lasted 20 years, but it might be closer to 30! Used on a large residential boiler system. I wish I could bolt this thing onto standard water heaters!

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffDeterioration over time is possible. There is a rubber gasket in the valve.
