+ I would say in general that longevity greatly depends on the water hardness and its effects on the heater elements along with scale buildup in the tank. Soft water will increase the life of the tank, while high mineral content requires replacing elements before the end of the tank’s normal life. Yearly flushing of mineralized build up below the bottom element helps, but becomes more difficult to remove with age. At some point it becomes more cost effective to just replace the tank.

The installation and use of this water heater for any purpose other than the heating of potable water, may cause damage to the water heater and create a hazardous condition and nullify the warranty.
