34 Cubic Inch 2-Gang Adjustable New Work Non-Metallic Outlet Box

Rewiring my house plus adding 2" Styrofoam for a wall thickness of 8". These boxes adjust outward with a Phillips driver. Walls are now R-36 with mildew/mold resistant sheetrock.

Moved electric outlets to be better positioned for a glass backsplash. The ability to adjust the outlet box in or out was good for keeping the plugs at the right depth for the glass backsplash. When attaching a plug or on-off switch to the box it was impossible to screw in all the way without stripping the screw heads. I think it was a smooth plastic channel and basically, we were drilling out threading in the channel. I had to buy new screws for the electric plugs.

Well, it's a box, you can safely store wiring inside of it, and switches fit as they should. The only question you should still have is whether you're going to buy one for your project like you needed or if you're going to buy 7 and store the extras for a rainy day.

This box is great for tile work or any wall that needs to have the electrical box adjusted for depth. For a few pennies more it aloud you to rough in and adjust depth later.
