Creates a strong code compliant joint with either dissimilar materials or when cutting in a wye to create a new drain branch.

I would not use these for buried service.
I am writing this review only for the purpose to point out what I believe to be a mistake in the ad.
Although it says for buried service, I don't believe it is.
Fernco does have a similar coupling but with 4 bands rather than 2 bands, which IS rated for buried service.

Worked perfectly for CPVC to CPVC on boiler flue plumbing
Stainless bands, works great for high efficiency boiler flue piping connections. Not recommended for boilers that are installed in a way that they don't condense flue gasses because typically the flue temps are too high for this type of coupling.
