10" x 10" x 1" Fiberglass Throw Away Replacement Filter

I generally spritz the filters with a little Endust before installation. Not sure if it helps but they do a good job.

I was thrilled at the speed that me order arrived, however the size should be a 10x10 but in reality it is too small and does not do the job. Ever time the AC turns on all the filters fly up and make a loud noise. I also think that since its too small it allows dirt to enter in to the AC system.

The filters are constructed about 1/4" smaller then 10x10 and aren't perfect square. They fall out of place rather then fit snug. I probably will not but them again. They fit because the housing has about a 1/4" backstop to fit the filter against. I used duct tape to keep in place so I can close the grill and the filter tight.

I've been waiting for my local hardware store to get these in and got tired of waiting. Shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition.

I installed a blower fan to pump fresh air into a closet I turned into a server closet. A high MERV filter was too much resistance for the fan and filtered a lot more than it needed to anyway. So I bought these prefilters because all I wanted to prevent from blowing in there was dust and pet hair anyway. Works perfect for that.
