Universal Mount Transformer

all the products i've purchased from supply house have been excellent quality. the shipping is the issue. UPS ground to my location in northern, NM is slower than a tortoise.

This is working for my application, but when I first opened it was difficult to read what wire is for what. White and Black are switched vs standard code.

I bought these to replace a failed plate mounted 120v to 24v AC transformer, plus have a spare. It has an extra lead for 240v input, but no ground wire. There were some cheaper ones at Supply House but I trust Honeywell products, so opted to pay more for the name. It installed and worked exactly as expected.

The package contains a box cover plate with knockouts and all the hardware needed for mounting either "half submerged," (i.e., with half the coils sticking down into the junction box), or fully protruding (with the whole transformer outside the box). The box itself is not included but you wouldn't expect it to be. I haven't used the transformer in service; it's a spare that I'm keeping on hand in case the original fails. I did hook it up temporarily and it checked out fine on a voltmeter.

This transformer is running 4 zones on my furnace.Just what it was ordered for.

I have used this transformer for almost as long as Honeywell has made them. It is a quality product.

When installing the HZ432 Zone Controller, buy the kit, which includes this transformer.

it was easy to install. Be carefull for connection for 120V for Black and white wire and close pink wire i.e. for 240 V.

Easily powers two dampers at a time.
