Hey Dick, Not at all. A 5" filter is just that 5" thick. So no way will it fit in a 1" filter housing not be flush with maybe a 4-1/2" thick wall
I am not sure as I really don't understand the question. The 20x20 filter is 20" in length and width both and 5" thick. So, I would think it would be 4" too thick for this person.
Probably not. You would have to measure the available space in the grille and compare that to the filter dimensions. Based on the description provided, I'd venture to say that it won't work.
Yes, Yes and Possibly. The only way to know whether or not your system can handle the filter is to have static pressure readings taken to determine ductwork and filter restrictions.
According to the manufacturer, a charged media filter has an electrostatic charge applied to it at the factory. This charge does help with air filtration. Pressure drop or restricted air flow across any filter is what can impact the HVAC system. An electrostatic charge by itself should not reduce or impact air flow.
A charged media will not place any substantially different 'strain' on your HVAC system. The charged aspect is electrostatic to attract more fine particles. So, the charged media filters are better filters.
These filters are 4-3/8" thick.
the actual size is 19⅞x24⅞x4⅜
4-3/8 inches is the actual thickness--I just went and measured mine to be sure.
The filter measures 4-3/8" thick.
I have one in hand. It is 24 3/4" deep x 15 7/8" wide x 4 5/16" (call it 4 3/8") high. Seems no filter is REALLY the size they say.
This filter measures 4-1/2" x 16" x 24-3/4"
Media air filters go in Honeywell's media air cleaners. Media filters strain larger particles, such as lint, before intercepting smaller particles that are jostled by random collisions with air molecules in the filters. The molecules cause diffusion in which the particles collide and stick to the filter, while filter-cleaned air circulates back into the home.
The FC100A1037 filters are 4-3/8" thick.
The FC100A1037 filter measures 4-3/8" thick.
According to the manufacturer, the filter should be replaced at least once a year. For optimal system performance, replace the filter every six months (before heating season and before cooling season).
depends on filter system equipment.
2 times winter and again in the summer when you change your clocks for daylight savings time.
Filter housing says every six months. Can't always go by size of home. Def wouldn't say monthly unless you have an unusual amount of dust in your home. You can always examine the filter on a monthly/bi-monthly basis to see if it needs changing....takes about 30 secs to check and put the filter back in.
Honeywell claims this filter is good for 6 months to a year. I change mine yearly and never have a problem but if you have a lot of pets or a dusty house you might want to change out every 6 months.
For current Media Air Cleaners, FC100A1029 and POPUP1625 can be used interchangeably.
