Excellent Product - Solved Temperature Issue
We have two thermostats but for some reason both were placed in the same zone - so it was difficult to get the right temperature in the area it controlled. Rather than relocate the thermostat, this wireless model was our best option. Works excellent and completely solved the problem. While the EIM is a little big (I placed it where the old thermastat was) it's not that bad.
HEAT PUMP OWNERS - I wired everything accurately and according to the diagrams but my system intially wouldn't work right. I went back to the instruction manual and noticed on page 9 the installer setup tables (just try it - I don't have any training and it was easy). NOTE - the thermostat default is 1 heat/1 cool conventional (for gas/oil furnaces). Under setup option 1, change that to correspond to your heat pump setup - mine was 5 - 2 heat/1 cool heat pump. Once I did that, it worked fine. Hope that helps others with similar issues.

Not good for businesses with out of the box schedules
We have a business that is often closed Monday through Thursday. Friday we need to have the business hot or cold for customers by the evening. This thermostat does not allow Friday to be programmed independently. So we either have to pay to heat and cool on days and hours we aren't here, or we have to go through hoops to get an employee to come in a couple hours ahead and set the thermostat. In today's world, I don't understand why there is still a Monday to Friday only option on these.

Great way to add a thermostat control when zoning
I use this all the time when doing a zoning install and there is no way to hardwire a thermostat.

I would buy this unit again, absolutely!
I made a big mistake while preparing our home for sale. Thinking I was cutting old phone cords and pulling them out of the wall, later that evening we had no heat! Long story short, I had cut and pulled out the wire connecting the second floor to the furnace in the basement. My oil and furnace maintenance company recommended the Honeywell Wireless thermostat. I ordered it and after they installed it - we had heat again. The system is wireless bluetooth and works perfectly. Highly recommend this unit.

Excellent product
This wireless thermostat, used with the remote, solved a problem we have had with out two story home, We leave the remote in our upstairs bedroom, and set the remote to control our unit when we are upstairs, then set the thermostat to take control when we come down in the morning. Wish we had this 30 years ago.

Terrific product
Our original thermostat was located in an alcove where the builder installed it. It never seemed to sense the room temperature very well and it seemed like it ran forever. Our AC vendor told us it should be in a well ventilated room so it could sense the room air temp. We purchased the thermostat and he installed it. He told us that the thermostat came with a return air probe that to the thermostat the temp of the return air. After installation and we used it for a few days it was surprising not to hear the AC to run for 10 minutes but only 3-4 ,minutes. I've never been eager to see an electric bill but from what I'm hearing how long this unit runs now it has to be a substantial savings.
Almost forgot since this unit is bluetooth you can install it anywhere there are no wires and I used 3m large velcro pads to place it around the room for best performance. Great product sorry I didn't know about this sooner.

Hunnywell RedLink System makes for an easy installation
We needed to replace a 5 wire thermostat and didn't want to replace drywall so the wireless system was a good solution. Only down side is the thermostat isn't touchscreen.

Q: Does this include everything needed to replace a wired thermostat in this package? ... it seems that the only thing this unit can not do is connect to wi-fi ... and that can be added with an additional product, is that the case?

Q: What does the wireless focus pro programmable thermostat kit consist of? In the photo it shows several things. In a previous question, I was told that the EIM was not included. The product description is not clear about what is in the kit. I am needing a kit for a wireless connection.

Q: I'm installing six Equipment Interface Modules to connect six wireless thermostats. Does each EIM need its own 24v transformer, or can one 24v transformer power all six EIMs?

Q: Would this system work with a hydronic heat system? I have 5 zones, I'm trying to figure out a way to control all without walking the whole house, will it help with that as well?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThis thermostat works in a hydronic heating system, but you'll always need a separate thermostat for every zone. You may want to look at Honeywell's RedLINK Internet Gateway, which is compatible with wireless FocusPRO thermostats and allows you to control up to four separate thermostats over the internet.

Q: Will the thermostat automatically reconnect to the Internet after a power outage,or do you have to hit the connect button manually,also will it send an alarm e mail that there is a power outage?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAccording to the manufacturer, the control will reconnect when power is restored following a power loss. To have e-mails sent out, you would need to go into the settings menu for that account or location. Here you would find the option of being notified should the thermostat lose connection with the Gateway or if the Gateway loses connection with the account. Other selections would include being notified on a regular basis (which is selectable) that there is still a connection issue and/or being notified when the connection has been restored.

Q: I need to relocate 7 thermostats all of them all ac/heat gas air but all are different brand names. I want to put them all In my office so my customers can't keep changing or messing up the settings Or freezing up my compressors, So how do I get the temp readings in the 7 rooms. Since they Are all different at all times, can you recommend . A setup this is for a banquet hall in CT.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYou may want to consider Honeywell VisionPRO thermostats with C7189U1005 indoor sensors. You would need to wire one indoor sensor per thermostat. Using a sensor overrides the thermostat's internal sensor.
