Q: My primary winter heat is outdoor wood furnace, second source is heat pump (for temps >34deg), then propane furnace if wood is out and temp is < 34deg - In summer, i have AC unit - will this 3 stage unit work for my heat?

Q: The lower temperature works on COOL but the raise temp will not. Only the clock and screen "buttons" are illuminated at the bottom of the screen. I changed the batteries and can only adjust the time, clear the screen and LOWER the temperature. This is the first time this has occurred. Is the touch screen broken?

John, while not a pro, I can say that I have 12 of these in my facility and if I had the same issue I would replace the thermostat especially if you can't do a temporary or a permanent change using edit.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffAny 2H/2C, low voltage, non-programmable thermostat should work.
it depends on how your system is set up. you don't have just a programable thermostat. you have a 2 stage thermostat. when your primary heat source can't quite keep up. the thermostat cycles your secondary heat source. look at how your thermostat is wired. if you have a wire on the terminal for the secondary heat. you will need any thermostat with minimum 2 stage heat. and 1 stage cool.
Q: I just had a 4SHP16LT136P-2 3T AIREASE HEAT PUMP installed with a BCS2M36VOONA1P VARI SPEED AIR HANDLER. They installed a TH8320U HONEYWELL THERMO And they have not been able to program it. What thermo would you reccomend?

Hello, I see no reason why you cant program this, this does heat pump please call Honeywell if you need further help
Honywell Visionpro th8000
The 9000 series in honeywell is perfect for the airease 2 stage compressor. Pex supply have the stats and they will work for the 4 stage system you need.( 2 stage compressor and 2stage electric heat. Just look for a 4 stage heat two stage cool honeywell and it should be fine.
Q: My furnace cycles frequently with this thermostat. Is there a way to program the thermostat to have the cycles run longer, and less frequently?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffYou would change the temperature/program schedule to change the cycle times.
There is a way to override the system and schedule your own heating cycle for this thermostat. Here are the steps to customize the heating cycle for your Vision Pro thermostat: 1.Press SCHEDULE then EDIT. 2. Press day buttons (MON-SUN) to select days. 3. Press up or down to set wake time for selected days. 4. Press up or down to set heat and cool temperature for their time period. 5. Press other time periods (LEAVE, RETURN, SLEEP) to set time and temp for each. 6. Press DONE to save and exit or CANCEL to exit without saving. (From owners manual) Good luck!

Q: why is my screen locked up? It is controling and following the program but I cant change any settings.

Q: Does this model or any others have a Password Protect? Meaning you need a Code not just to shut a Feature on or off.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThis model does not. The Prestige thermostat THX9000 series, if configured to lock the screen, will require a password to unlock. The password is the date code of the control. All other thermostats that have a Range Stop or screen lock option would require going into the installer set up to make a change to the screen or Range Stops. They do not have password or code number.
Q: I have a heat pump for heat and ac. When it gets really cold i have an oil burner which heats a radiator and the fan from the heat pump blows over it and gives us warm air. Will this stat be able to control both units? I currently have 2 stats, one for each, and i turn the heat pump fan to auto and the system off when the oil burner is on.

Q: I have a Trane Heatpump Air-conditioner with Emergency Electric Heat Strips & Variable Speed Fan Motor. 6 months ago I installed 4 Honeywell Remote Inside Temperature Sensors & 1 Outside Temp Sensor. Upon installing the Inside and Outside Remote Sensors, I discovered the Trane Thermostat may look identical to the VisionPro Stats, but has no terminals to connect the remote sensors. Is this the correct VisionPro Thermostat I need to replace my Trane VisionPro "Look-alike" Thermostat? Will This allow the fan motor to circulate as well as auto or on positions too? Thank you.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffPlease refer to pages 3 and 4 of the Installation Guide ( http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1277918330238/33855_PROD_FILE.pdf ) for wiring information. It appears this thermostat does have terminals for sensors, but it may only be able to accommodate two of them. If you give us the model number of your Trane thermostat, we can try to find cross-reference information on it.
