I would buy this product again
Easy to install, easy to program, up in minutes to get hot water and heat in your home. Very happy with product and user manual / system. Installed in Colorado at ~8,000' elevation on multi-zone hydronic heating system.

OK so far
The boiler worked out of the box, no issues. The manual is pretty decent compared to most these days. It's a bit difficult to get the boiler adjusted within the high and low fire CO2 limits. It would be nice if there was some way to display the firing rate as a percentage of maximum, about everything else can be displayed why not that? Finally, some guidance on setting the speed for the 3 speed circulating pump would be useful, why provide such a pump if it can not be tailored to the system?

Newer Laars version replaced 12yr old one exactty.
I had a failure of components never being maintained/cleaned. After cleaning had new very hidden leaking resulting in electronics failure, decided to replace the whole 12+yr old unit. I checked the specs and the fit was exactly the same, It came quick, and I installed quickly. Was easy to get and install!

I have installed many of these and do like them. I have only had one issue with them and got a defective circuit board. I called supply house to get a replacement and got an answer of we'll get back to you in 1 to three day!! Lol NO , it's winter and the answer should be I'll get back to you immediately!
I actually had to ask the man to do it immediately!
I called Laars myself and got it handled by a wonderful customer service lady and it's being overnighted. I live and work in rural Maine and heat is pretty important in winter.

Q: Does the MFTCW199NA2XN have a built in Primary Loop circulation pump? The documentation seems to show one, and the recommended configs also don't show an external primary pump... But the control board has an electrical connection for an external pump. Just wanted to confirm. :) Thanks, -Tim

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHi Tim! The pump included and contained inside the boiler of the Laars MFTCW199 is a primary/secondary boiler pump, this is not a zoning pump for central heating. Zoning/Central heating pumps are field supplied and field specified according to installation requirements .
