A serviceable replacement for our 15 yea

This allows us to run the laundry in the basement, where the sewer pipe level is above the level of the washing machine.

Not for washing machine

On my second unit in 4 years. Pump is ok if you are going to be pumping plain water. Use it mainly for washing machine discharge and water softener. At least 3-4 times as year I come home and pump has been running for "who knows" how long. Have to tear a part and clean. Pain in butt trying to get everything lined up when reinstalling. Not a fan of the pressure switch to turn it on. I am going back to the old float style. We also use these at work on a few remote utility sinks. Same issues. When I get a call for them at work I don't even bother trying to fix them. Off to the trash. This is just my experience with these pumps and my work has a lot of these unit.

Second pump failure in just over three years…switching brand

First off, Supplyhouse is awesome: when the first pump failed at about 4 months, one email had a replacement sent next day with no further questions or fuss. That pump is now not always shutting off or has delayed shut off, see other comments. The one that came with my house in 2012 had the pump assy (w/switch) replaced around 2018. This is for a utility sink that services a washer, overflow from a furnace humidifier, water softener and an RO system we typically draw about 3 quarts a day from. So overall, more clean water than washer water. Utility sink itself used only once or twice a month. Replaced with the original since it was still available and minimized need for new lines in/out but I'm done. Ordering a new Zoeller…the new in/out lines will be a small price to pay for hopefully better longevity.

Beware of Lint accumulation

This is direct replacement to the old laundry utility pump i have. The unit has two weakness: One, the level sensor may get clogged with lint (in my case, it had issues shutting off), Two, the plastic cleanup cover has a tendency to crack: one corner at the time. Be sure to have a spare at home.

first and second ones were bad

Purchased this pump to replace same I've had for about 15 years. After installation, it worked about twice then started kicking off the GFCI. Company was nice enough to send replacement .and had the same problem. Spoke with manufacturer and they think there was a problem with the batch..to check the serial numbers (which would indicate manufacture date and place). Since I did not have to return the first bad one, I trashed it and I didn't have the SR#. I spoke with rep at Supply House who offered refund or reorder. Chose refund and ordered somewhere else. All is well, so the batch must have been bad. Customer service at Supply House is awesome! Thank you.

Pump is good when manufactured correctly

we use these pumps all the time and they used to be great but over the last couple orders (from different vendors) we have had 5 out of 8 pumps delivered unusable (either assembled wrong or broken in box). I assume Little Giant (like most manufacturers) is having a hard time finding/retaining good manufacturing employees. Buyer beware, open the box and check the pump before you start working.

Water sensing switch is a weak design…no shutoff at 4 month

Bought in Feb 2023 to replace identical 10+ year old unit that had the switch diaphragm fail. Now, the diaphragm wasn't leaking and the switch was fine. But the diaphragm acted stiff, and wouldn't release the switch when it should and it ran longer than needed but eventually wouldn't shut off at all. New unit does the same thing in 4 months. Bad design or material. Supply house has great support though and dealt with this well.

Perfect replacement

This was an exact replacement for a sump that had failed. It came with all the parts and adapters that you could possibly need to hook it up to existing piping.

According to the manual, "Do not use a mechanical vent with this product. A mechanical vent will cause improper operation of the automatic switch."

Q: Does this need to be vented?

Hello, Yes, this pump must be vented to properly function. There is a vent connection on the top of the pump to which a plastic pipe assembly (not supplied with pump) is attached. I hope this helps.
