22" Bulk Plastic Water Heater Pan w/ 1" PVC Fitting

It does the job if you are reasonably careful with it, but looks like if could crack if hit with an unexpected heavy object, or kicked it too hard by accident. I would rather pay more for an item that is twice as thick, and preferably made with a plastic with a little more give to it. It was packed well and arrived safely in one piece. The guys at supply house do a good job.

Pans is thin ,thin plastic would not hold up to anything, being kicked, accidental drop of heavy object or stepped on. Then you have a code requirement being met by nothing more than appearance., I would not be surprised if scalding hot water from water heater would cause it to lose shape and spill water. Did not use , wondering to throw it away or donate it to habitat. Price is cheap but still not worth it.

This item cracked while installing it. It is very fragile. Now that it is in place, it has to stay there cracked until I install a new water heater. I'm stuck with it cracked for at least 10 years.

I received one of these plastic pans shipped in a plastic bag. The product was damaged beyond repair. It leads me to consider how brittle this product is. Imagine lifting a waterheater into this pan and having it break if the waterheater lands on the rim of the pan. An aluminum pan may dent and a polyethylene pan has a memory that will spring back. The jury is out on this product. Be careful!

This is a good pan and withstood the 150lb weight of my how water heater as I rolled it onto the pan. Fit my 21" diameter hwh with a couple of inches to spare.

its black and arrived without dings or bends. the plastic should never rust out ;)

This pan appears very durable because of its thickness
