Calci-Free Tankless Water Heater Flush Kit

I contacted my water heater manufacturer regarding the recommended flow rate for the Navien heater we have installed. They suggested 4 gallons per minutes. The pump with no elbow fitting is listed as 1850 gal/hr (30 gal/min) at 10' of head. I called the Wayne pump folks who indicated the flow is cut by 50% with the elbow installed (15 gal/min). When I tested my pump with the hoses supplied it was closer to 6/gal/min, essentially what the Navien manufacturer called for. I could dial the supply down by installing a 2-way split outlet and achieved exactly what was needed. The materials supplied were of very good quality and I received everything in the single bucket. I would purchase this again, but would suggest you supply the actual flows expected with different configurations. Tankless water heaters are expensive and conforming to the manufacturers specs I kind of a big deal.

When putting this product to use the hoses would not connect tightly enough to not leak. We had to find more rubber washers to go into the end of the hose to keep it from leaking. If I had to do it over again I would buy all of the items from the local hard ware store and do it myself.
