Purchased this gas valve for replacement when the old one stops working.Pex sent me the replacement for the current one in operation. Like all Honeywell products from past business, will work well and preform. Have purchased several items to sit on the shelf until needed, live in a rural area where service is something not like I gave my customers nor do they inventory parts. We sent the single valve back for a refund.

the product is ok but the instructions are pityful
i use it for heating obviously. the instructions tell you to ground the control to the module but there is already another ground wire going there. very poor instructions

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe VR8204A2803 is an active OEM valve and would still be available through the OEM of the system it is on.The VR820A2076 is listed as a functional replacement for the VR8204A2803. A functional replacement will give you the same control capabilities but may have some differences related to how it is installed.

Do not just go by appearance,assuming it will work.Take the number off of the old valve go to the mfg. website and they will give you a cross reference replacement model number that will work. It is not unusual that they have implemented many changes or modifications, to what you have for a defective gas valve. Don

No the Standard Dual Intermittent Pilot Gas Valve is NOT the recommended replacement for VR8204m 1042. The recommend replacement is S8610U Universal Intermittent Pilot Gas Ignition Control.
