I am a female do it yourself-er. I wanted a beaker bar to go with this, but until I had it in my hands, I didn't understand that a breaker bar wouldn't work with this. You need strength or a breaker bar to change a heating element in a water heater. If you don't have the muscle, buy a socket with the matching breaker bar.

I love this product
I loved this Wrench. I had bought one similar from a hardware store, and it worked on one of the heating elements on my water heater, but not on the other one. it was too small. this one had 2 different sizes and I wish I had purchased it instead of the other one first as it would have worked for both of my elements.

This large Rheem heating element wrench can also be used for removing Delta shower diverter bonnet. This tool made the so much easier and faster.

I will probably buy this wrench again.
It could be an inch longer, so that the bar through the holes in the wrench is out from the shell of the water heater. This would help save our knuckles.

Poor Quality Fit
I have a 1 1/2 and the wrench was of poor quality and could not grip the element well enough. I borrowed a camco element wrench which was much better quality and gripped the element properly.

Heating element wrench
Depending on your heater, room to work this might be an alright tool. It didn't impress me nor did it work correctly. I wound up buying a deep socket to remove/install heater element.
