These fittings are suitable for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. SharkBite PEX Barb fittings can be used in both a stainless steel clamp system, or a copper crimp ring system as well (each sold separately).

Works perfectly!
I used this to hook up a 3/4hp shallow well pump to the pressure tank and filters. I needed a swivel that would allow for easy repairs and still worked with a 40/60 psi line.
Zero issues and no leaks. 1" PEX tube worked without having to owrry.

Use With Care
I have installed 4 of these. 2 connected to a water softener's plastic bypass valve and, so far, they are perfect. 2 are connected to 1"x4" stainless Chinese nipples (SKU: SLN100-400) that go in/out of my stainless water filter housing. Using USA stainless (SKU: 4016-400) they simply never tightened up but that is an issue with the nipples who's threads taper very fast compared to the Chinese ones. Surprisingly, one of the two has a small leak from the seam between the two pieces that I simply cannot stop.I don't know what is causing this. But it is NOT because the fitting in not on there tight enough.
