SBTL41 Insert is required when making a connection to PEX. A PEX to PEX connection requires (2) SBTL41 Inserts, one for each end. This insert is sold separately.
Underground burial of SharkBite brass fittings requires that the fitting be wrapped using silicone wrap (25406A).
The SharkBite Large Diameter straight coupling is the easiest plumbing fitting to join any combination of Copper, CPVC, PEX, PE-RT, and HDPE tubing together. With no soldering, clamps, unions or glue required, it’s as simple as inserting the pipe into the fitting deep enough to be sealed by our specially-formulated O-ring. Once inserted, the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe. This push-to-connect fitting is designed for potable water and radiant heating (including underground or behind-the-wall) applications with no access panels required. It is rated up to 200°F and 200 psi. Large Diameter PEX Stiffeners are required when connecting to Large Diameter PEX tubing.

Great Product, Good Price
We had to complete a repair to a hot water line in the attic space above a daycare classroom. Using these fittings made it possible to complete the repair without having to use a torch to solder the large connections which would send odors all over the entire daycare. Awesome product!!!
