Sioux Chief 533 series Stud Shoe supports has been designed to conform to national plumbing code requirements. Stud Shoes is used to reinforce studs that have been bored or notched to allow for DWV piping. The 533 Series Stud Shoe is secured to joist with nails or screws. Sioux Chief's 533 series Stud Shoe bracket is NOT a total replacement of removed construction materials.

- Installs over pipe up to 2-3/8" O.D.
- Meets IRC 602.6
- All nail holes must be used, and fasteners (not included) shall be no less than #10d x 1-1/2" long
- Pipe opening: 2-1/2", for use with any piping that is 2" Schedule 40 or smaller

Would definitely use these again
These brackets are a perfect solution for sink or any plumbing fixture under windows. I needed to cut structure out of wall studs supporting a window for the plumbing vent using these helped retain the structure. Easy to use on new studs. " just a heads up they are not wide enough for older built homes that have original 2x4 studs". Some modification to those studs needed to be done

These really strengthen up a 2x4 because taking a 2-in pipe through a 2x4 there's just about nothing left
