Sioux Chief 533 series Stud Shoe supports has been designed to conform to national plumbing code requirements. Stud Shoes is used to reinforce studs that have been bored or notched to allow for DWV piping. The 533 Series Stud Shoe is secured to joist with nails or screws. Sioux Chief's 533 series Stud Shoe bracket is NOT a total replacement of removed construction materials.

- Installs over pipe up to 2-3/8" O.D.
- Meets IRC 602.6
- All nail holes must be used, and fasteners (not included) shall be no less than #10d x 1-1/2" long
- Pipe opening: 2-1/2", for use with any piping that is 2" Schedule 40 or smaller

Works well but don't forget the back side
Protects and reinforces the stud well but unlike the much more expensive big box store products you need to buy separate shields to protect the back side.
