2" SOC x SR FIPT PVC Schedule 80 Special Reinforced Female Adapter

We have used this product in many applications for may years and have yet to have any problems with exception of availability. So we plan further ahead.

I used this fitting in place of a 2" Sch. 80 male adapter that connected the outlet of my concrete sewage pump tank/station to the 2" Sch. 40 PVC pipe that runs to my septic tank. The male version broke when the foundation and pump tank were being backfilled with bank-run gravel. There was a 16" long rock mixed in with a bucket-load of this material which landed right on the outlet pipe and adapter when it was dumped. Apparently, it cracked the male adapter, and I didn't discover it until months later when I found what looked like a spring coming out of the ground. To repair the damage, I purchased a 2" stainless steel 4" long nipple to thread into the stainless steel coupling that was cast in the wall of the tank, and then threaded this 2" Sch. 80 reinforced female adapter onto the end of the nipple. From there, I glued a 6" long piece of Sch. 40 PVC pipe onto the female adapter, added a long sweep 90 degree elbow, another length of 2" PVC pipe, and then used a PVC union to couple the end of the replacement pipe to the original 2" PVC pipe that runs to my septic tank. This way, the assembly can be replaced without cutting any pipe, should anything break again. However, this is a remote possibility with the offensive rock gone, and this more durable Sch. 80 adapter.
