SPP6 Good Deal
I've used these devices for many years. They're simple, work great until they die, which is not often and likely years after install. Our area has deplorable power fluctuations and have caused must starting damage (in my opinion), and with this addition, much of that problem disappears. One of our power suppliers has even put in their newsletter to add a hard start device for compressor protection.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm. Easy to install for a DIY'er.
Started getting a buzz when the compressor kicked on.
Previous hard start kit began to fail. They don't last forever but are well worth the few bucks.

Added the hard start kit to my 3 ton heat pump. It works great with the unit seaming to start much easier which will prolong life of the unit. Also easy to install after I found room inside the case to mount.
