The High Velocity Series Taco 0012 Cartridge Circulator is specifically designed for high-flow/medium-head applications in large residential/light commercial systems. Exclusive, Anti Condensate Baffle (ACB) protects motor windings on chilled water jobs. Available in cast iron or bronze construction. Bronze can be used on open-loop systems. Unique, replaceable cartridge contains all of the moving parts so you can service it easily instead of replacing the entire unit. Universal flange-to-flange dimensions and orientation allow the 0012 to easily replace other models. 0012-F4 is a direct replacement for the HV Series.

Q: is stainless steel better than cast iron?

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffStainless steel is more corrosion-resistant, but this is irrelevant in closed-loop heating systems. Make sure to use a bronze or stainless steel circulator with domestic water or in an open-loop heating system.
Cast iron is perfectly good for hot-water circulators. Stainless or bronze might be preferred for pumping potable water, but not for space heating systems.
