Description

The Taco 003 is designed for circulating hot or chilled fresh water in open or closed loop,
lower flow applications. Flow characteristics are ideal for Domestic HotWater Recirculation,
Heat Recovery units,Water Source Heat Pumps, and PotableWater systems. The unique, replaceable cartridge contains all of the moving parts and allows for easy service instead of replacing the
entire circulator. The compact, low power consumption design is ideal for high efficiency jobs.
This item abides by the 2014 low lead requirements

Excellent - compatible with earlier model
Purchased this one to replace the one installed in our solar hot water system in 2010. Did not need to replace the entire pump since the part plumbed in was compatible with the body of this replacement - I'd called Taco first to make sure our old grey painted one was indeed compatible with the new bronze painted one since I wanted to keep things simple. It was, just four bolts and some simple wiring, and I was back in business. I'd tried a new cartridge in the old pump, but that hadn't fixed the problem. The new pump has been installed now for a couple of weeks and seems to have resolved the issue.

This pump is used to circulate hot water in one of the buildings where I work, it does a great job in keeping the water hot in the lines. When the cartridge needs to be changed out,it's a simple task to do so.
