Perfect fit, quick install!

This part worked perfectly, although I initially thought I had ordered the wrong thing. The new 007-IFC has the flow check at the outlet (where I first looked and found nothing). The version I have has it just before the pump motor itself. This means instead of disconnecting the pump outlet flange, I needed to remove the 4 screws holding the pump and controls from the part with the flanges. I also needed to use some curved pliers to remove the remains of the previous IFC. The installation itself was simple and the provided gasket replaced the existing one. It took longer to write this review than it did to replace the part!

I would not recommend

I can only comment on my experience. I installed new flow controls on my 007 circulators. Everything seemed fine first day. On day 2 one of pumps began acting up. (Loud squealing). Eventually seizing up. The exact same situation on another pump. I ordered 2 new 007 IFC. Replacing the IFC by itself did not work for me I was forced to replace entire unit. X2.

Buying Experience

I formerly was a VP of engineering and manufacturing at a manufacturer and now I am retired. The Internal Flowcheck Assemblies in the hot water circulators in our house went bad. I went to Home Depot, they don't have the parts. I went on Grainger website, they don't have the parts listed. I then went SupplyHouse.com. They carry the genuine replacement parts. The price is reasonable. The delivery is on time. I had a very good buying experience with this supplier. So I was able to quickly replace the parts and the heating system is working normally now. I saved hundreds of dollars.

Great tech support

Once I contacted Taco,(Supply house provided the number) I discovered my older style pump has the check valve located on the discharge side of the pump, which requires removal of the cartridge. The first valve was defective but Supply House sent out a replacement immediately.

Right product Fast

I'm an amateur do it yourself kinda guy. I've used supply house several times. They are always fast, professional and I get my items really fast. So far always the next day.

It was too small for my pumps.

I couldn't use this because it didn't fit in my pump. Several online sources indicated that these will work in any newer 007, but that is not the case. Perhaps they only fit in pumps that are set up as IFC in the first place.

Original Parts

I think the IFC is a great feature and the replacement kit is a perfect fit. It seems that Taco made a slight upgrade on the durability of spring loaded check.

Q: How do I remove an old IFC valve from existing installation before I put a new one? Just pull it out using pliers? I tried but it doesn't come out. Thanks.

The IFC cartridge is in pretty snug. It is held in by an o-ring. Use a pair of needle nose pliers and pull from one of the fin tabs. Grab as close to center as you can. Pull hard and it will pop out. If all else fails, you can destroy it to remove it. Just keep pulling from center until it comes out.

if yours originally had a check valve yes

I'm not sure if it will fit a OO7 model. Older models were not machined to accept the IFC insert. You can check the pump body outlet to see if it is machined with a groove. If it is machined then it will accept an IFC check valve. Just verify which part is for a OO7.
