You should replace it with 009-SF5. The 009-F5 is made of cast iron and would rust in a plumbing application. 009-SF5 is made of stainless steel to prevent it from rusting.
no its not, you should contact Taco to see what they suggest. Chlorine is not good for most metals.
most likely the 110-251F but it depends on your pipe size. Make sure it fits 00 pumps
Hey Don, I use a 3/4 flange for my 009-F5. The website shows that 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 are options as well. I use this pump to circulate a water/propylene glycol solution from my basement to the roof-solar panels for heating my domestic hot water. The overall height is between 30 and 35 feet. The pump does well and I have had no problems or complaints. From April unitl late October, it runs constantly when the sun is up. It is a good little pump and very quiet. Hope this helps. Doug, Prince George, VA
I've occasionally found that when I take my pump apart there is a small bit of something stuck in the impeller which I can push out with a toothpick or wire. When this happens, the pump starts working asymetrically and it causes a rattling sound. As long as it is not too clogged, it is still moving the water so the pump doesn't burn up. -Steve
You might have some foreign material being caught up in the impeller like solder.
Yes, flange gaskets are included.
They are the same, other than the fact that the 009-SF5 is stainless steel (necessary to prevent rusting in open systems).
Head range refers to the amount of friction that the pump can overcome in order to keep the water moving through the system. It does not actually have anything to do with the distance of the piping. For more information on head loss and sizing circulator pumps, please refer to the following guide from the manufacturer: http://s3.pexsupply.com/manuals/1289252668477/41390_PROD_FILE.pdf
There is not. We do not carry any pumps with such an accessory.
You will need to order 1" flanges. They are not included with the pump.
The impeller could be having problems for any number of reasons, including the ball bearing getting locked up and a rock or piece of solder jamming it. You cannot buy the impeller by itself, but you can get replacement cartridge part 009-021RP.
