we received a bad batch of these fittings early last year after weeks of our costumer living in house several of them broke and runed sheet rock and floors needed refinishing about ten of the fittings broke over a couple mouths been good seance we contacted Vega and they said they must have been abused. I started asking suppliers
and other plumbers about and found 2 other contractors had the same problems around the same date the common thread was we all bought from supply house at that time I did talk with supply house back then but it did not help me out.so bottom line cost me about $ 20,000.00 in repair for there defective product So if you use it it is at your own risk No manufacture backing

Best Crimp Type PEX fittings
Fittings have a double crimp on the stainless sleeve with a tubing seat window to assure full tubing insertion into fitting. They NEVER leak. By far the most durable and foolproof crimp type PEX arrangement. Used the 3/4" fittings to connect to 3/4" PEX drops through floor in a modular home for hi temp hydronic heat zones. Worked perfectly and are rated for this service.

They are listed in the manual as useable with fostapex (viega's version of pex-al-pex) so long as it is prepared properly with the stripper. Not sure why supplyhouse says not to but I have a guess. There is a similar viega product, polyalloy pex crimp fittings. These use crimp rings and not press rings. The polyalloy are NOT compatible with fostapex as per manual. Anyway, you can always read the manual to verify my answer—I'm just a random shmo on the internet after all. Good luck.
