Product does contain some lead so it is a bit misleading
I am giving Supply House the 5 star review here, not the product. I ordered two of these saddle valves to tap into a 1 inch copper domestic water supply line for PH testing purposes. They are advertised as, "lead free." Upon receipt the label on the package stated the product contains small amounts of lead etc. etc. I contacted Supply House for a return of the product. With the gas prices etc. it was really a wash to return them. The employee of Supply House apologized for the mis communication and told me to just keep them and she would credit my account. I told her I would give the saddle valves to Habitat for Humanity. In the end I think it was a win/ win for all. 5 stars for how you handled the problem Supply House.
As a side note, I also found that saddle valves are actually illegal in some States because they have a tendency to leak due to dissimilar metals causing corrosion problems. Last thing anybody needs is a leak at the ice maker connect behind the refrigerator. Many insurance companies will deny the claim if they learn the leak stemmed from a saddle valve. This info is all over You Tube. You have my business Supply House. Nobody enjoys buying a problem.
This saddle valve works connects ¼" ice makers & water filters to
copper tubing from 3/8" to 13/8". It is not approved for use with PEX tubing.
