Designed for residential, commercial or industrial use with water, oil or gas. This approved Webstone valve is actuated by a blowout proof stem and features an adjustable packing nut. This valve's MIP end also features an internal solder connection if the use of solder is preferred. MIP/SWT end complies with ASME B16.18. Threaded ends comply with ANSI B1.20.1.

This makes swapping tanks super easy. Also makes depressurizing easy without introducing much air to check tank pressure.

Great addition for future proofing
Just replaced my expansion tank and added this valve. 100% worth it to make it easy to drain the tank and check the pressure whenever needed. Also makes it easier to change an empty tank vs one with 5 gallons of water in it! Worth the price and cheaper than building a drain set up from other parts.

Do yourself a favor
Attaches between expansion tank and air eliminator to remove air before it even enters your system. 1/2" fittings for expansion tank, air eliminator, boiler fill valve, and even a capped drain hose connection and two isolation valves. Solves so many problems with a single rust-free brass part.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseHi Jim! Yes, you can use the hose drain connection to drain the system. And the system should have an air eliminator installed.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffHi Jim, thanks for writing in. This valve has a drain on it and so that would act as a drain valve at that point in your system. The valve does not have an air separator, however, so you will need to have an external air bleeder installed in the system as well.
