I have a Weil McClain boiler and it was and exact match to the one that came on it. The gauge has a 1/4" MPT and shows your boiler temperature and a gauge for pressure. There are no settings on it other than you can set the Red hand on it so you can tell if your boiler is overheating. I hope this helps. Bill
No this gauge is not liquid filled. Sent from my iPhone
Don't know for sure if the gauge is liquid filled but it has an enclosed sensor which 90% of the time is liquid filled. Any spring would read temp outside the boiler. This gauge seems to be accurate regarding the settings on my aquastat, doesn't leak, a problem with other gauges I used. Don't know the warranty but once you install the gauge you'll have to drain the system to replace. I would buy again.
You will need to drain your system (to prevent leakage during installation), unscrew and remove the old gauge, put the new one on, and then refill and bleed the system. The manufacturer would recommend that you have a licensed technician make the change.
The white needle represents temperature, while the red needle can be controlled by the user to point anywhere on the gauge (temperature of pressure). It does not signify any measurement, but can be placed at a desired set point for easy monitoring.
