No Iron to RUST!!
Used this valve to feed a 60 year old hot water gravity boiler. Yes, gravity boiler. No pump in sight. The previous valve with iron body rusted after the relief valve started dripping and the homeowner requested solid brass or bronze only. This valve along with brass fittings fit the bill. She actually bought four but I do not think the installed valve will ever come out. Top quality materials used to construct this one. Fills very fast without using the fast fill feature. Had me worried that something was wrong but as the pressure approached 12psi the flow slowed down dramatically. Good price for what you get.

Good and bad
I like the design of the backflow preventer and fill valve with it's nice dial to set the fill pressure. But the fact that the fill valve has non-NPS straight threads on both sides and only one nut/flange/washer set leaves you with one leaky side if you try to connect to standard NPS fittings on your system. I've searched hard for another fitting to make this work and came up empty.

Terible product quality
Installed just over two months, pressure output always would raise past set point. Now, the included backflow preventor has seized up allowing no flow. See this same issue in other reviews. Stay AWAY from this product, pure junk!

Very disappointed
On my third one in 7 years, it stops applying pressure to the system and allows it to go to zero PSI, replace it and works fine. Looking at different brand/ style for the next time...

served without flaw 7 years and counting
Never a leak because I sweat on pex fittings for both inlet and outlet. It has just worked for seven years. I do shut off the inlet water pressure during the boiler off season.

No I would not buy again
I have had 3 out of 5 of these boiler fill valves fail on me under 3 years.
typically will end up over-presurizing the system?

Very good product
This combines pressure reducer adjustable with a shut off valve and back flow preventer also union's so you could easily change each part out in future and all brass, fittings for both sweat or not 1/2". Very good compact unit you put together how you want sweat or npt

I would not buy again.
Nice unit, but I had a hard time getting it to stop leaking. I'll go with a Taco unit next time.

Pros: It's lightweight and under $100. Cons: The "auto fill" is misleading. Cannot get this to stop leaking at inlet and outlet.
