Very well thought out system but...
The design is great but the assembly could be better. The check valve on the pump was loose so the 12v pump moves around. Took it apart to put Teflon tape on the threads. Very hard since whoever assembled it didn't lubricate the O ring which was damaged when they put it together. Replaced the O ring and lubricated both slide on connectors.
In service the system worked great. Zoeller needs to step up their quality control.

After 5 years, this pump failed when I needed it. We just lost power, I went in the basement to check on our dc pump, and it was blowing fuses. Well, the motor seized. It ran about 20 times max in the past 5 years. I took it apart and looks like the seal on the bottom leaked and seized the bottom bearing on the motor. Very disappointed.

Buying again!
I bought this same pump last March for one of my sump pits. It's much easier to install being that it is an all-in-one unit. No separate piping for pump and backup.
When I received the pump there was oil leaking out of the box due to delivery mis handling. I sent a few pictures of all the damage inside and a brand new pump arrived a few days later.
"Supply House" did an outstanding job to insure complete customer satisfaction!

Always buy a zoeller
Excellent service. Ordered this at 4:30 pm on Thursday, it was delivered the next day at 9:30 am. Easy install, best price I could find for a zoeller. The primary pump that I replaced was a 21 year old zoeller still working!
