The ProLine Compact electric water heater is designed to take up as little room as possible and is the ideal choice for when installation space is limited to tight spaces such as under counters and in crawl spaces. With a 19-gallon (nominal) tank and 1 element delivering 2500 watts, the EJCS-20 is designed to fit into tight spaces.
Environmentally-friendly insulation and factory-installed heat trap nipples reduce heat loss for maximum energy savings.
This ProLine water heater is designed with A. O. Smith's superior commercial-grade tank protection. Advanced tank features include stainless steel CoreGard anode rod and Blue Diamond glass lining, all designed to help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water and extend the life of the water heater. All of these features are accompanied by a 6-year limited tank warranty.

Fast shipping, but unfortunately today everything comes damaged (UPS). Thankfully, Supply House compensated me within days for the damaged parts I had to replace so that the water heater could be installed the next day. Great Customer Service that is rare today!

Faulty Parts, Mostly Useless Warranty
I bought this water heater, and immediately had issues with the water temperature being scalding hot despite the thermostat being set to the lowest level. I called about the warranty, and was given a plumber to call but they said if I can't get that plumber, then I need to call a local plumber and they will reimburse me. The recommended plumber doesn't operate in my state, so I called a local plumber. Long story short, they had to replace several parts and it ended up costing $400. The warranty only reimbursed $100 of this. When I called back to question this, the operator told me "I wish you would have talked to me first. I would have walked you through troubleshooting steps and showed you how to get reimbursed for parts to do it yourself. I'm not sure why the first person you talked to didn't do that." Thought I appreciate the sentiment of the 2nd operator, I am still out $300. I will not be buying from this brand again, and do not recommend it to anyone else.

19 Gallon ProLine Compact 240v
I needed a low profile electric water heater for a small space. This product has worked out great so far. The tank side cold and hot water inlets/outlets add the flexibility I needed considering the small, awkward installation space.

I would buy this heater again.
Installed the water heater as a temporary replacement for a much larger unit. The installation was easy, both with the plumbing and the electrical. Looks good. My only comment is that this unit was the third unit shipped to me. The first two units were shipped damaged.
