turn the know on gas valve to on heater to pilot. Press the red button down for a few mins. then press ign. button on every 10 second while pressing red button down. then look under the heater for a blue flame. once it lights remain hold the red button for 2 more mins. then release the red button. if flame stays lite, then turn knob to ON. if the flame goes out start over from beginnning.
I'm late in this reply but turn the ignitor knob topush it down and press the ignitor button (to the right) until lit (listen for the ignition) and keep holding the knob down for 1 min then release and turn to on. That should do it.
