Fast Delivery, the brands that I want and good prices

I have not installed everything yet but it looks like everything is exactly what I ordered. This will be my new supplier of all my heating and plumbing needs. Of course, unless I need something today. Glad I found this company.

Larger tank does the trick!

Speedy delivery on the tank and it works great. I had the smaller version which was end of life (~7-years) and using the calculator on the supplyhouse website I realized I should have had a larger tank to begin with.

Go to SupplyHouse 1st for next purchase!

I was able to find an expansion tank that exactly matched the specifications and dimensions of the one I was replacing. I did have a follow-up question that was concisely answered in a phone call - very helpful. I felt confident installing the expansion tank and the system seems to be working properly.

great product, could have better documentation

Works perfect with my boiler, though I wish the documentation were better. Amtrol only offers one general sheet about all models

A real problem-solver

My hot water heating system was originally installed with a smaller expansion tank, so heat output was always limited by pressure build-up. The #90 Extrol Expansion Tank has the system working better than ever.

Exact replacement for one that lasted 17 years.

This tank replaced the exact same model that has been installed since 1999. It's now 2017. The original tank had not been treated properly and finally developed a leak through the internal bladder. You must be sure that the tank is properly pre-charged (it comes that way) and that you keep the cap on the pre-charge valve (Schrader valve). The price on this tank is reasonable and I saw no reason to switch to a different brand or model for my system. Recommended. -- Loren

Product Q&A

3 Questions

ASK A QUESTION

Q: Great site - You list the tank volume of 14 gallons with the max accepted volume as 11.3 gallons. Is the max volume the max amount of water it can hold? Having a slightly larger expansion tank on the furnace than needed has no down side - right? Thanks

Installing an expansion tank that is too large has no downside other than the fact that you'd be paying more than you need to for the expansion tank. The 11.3 gallons is a measure of maximum water capacity.
