Great assembly, well made, and easy install
I really liked how this product incorporated the backflow preventer and pressure regulator. The gauge down stream of the regulator is a nice touch. You dont have to use it (there is a plug that is pre-installed in the port where gauge would go). I installed it on 1/2" copper make-up water supply line to my heating water boiler. I measured, and cut the copper, sweated on 1/2 MNPT fittings to the copper, then screwed each section of this assembly into place. The unions and spin fittings made installation and orientation a breeze. For the vent line, i used a PVC 1/2 MNPT to 3/4" FNPT adapter, and then installed one of those pre-made safety relief valve PVC drain lines that people use for their relief valve on domestic water heater. Made for a very nice installation. Easy to adjust the pressure as well via the dial on the top. I would highly recommend utilizing this product!

Backflow preventer failed after 3 years
Chicago city water, backflow unit froze and failed 3 years from install, ran system dry leading to rotor lock on pump. Disappointed, should have been maintenance free. Replacement features new design.

Great product!
The description and installation instructions were perfect. This eliminates the need for me to manually maintain the water pressure to the boiler for my radiators in our 1915 Dutch Colonial home. After setting the proper pressure, the automatic water fill made bleeding each radiator a breeze. I needed to install this in the optional vertical orientation.

nice fittings. Easy to install. Works just like advertised
Needed an auto fill for my hydronic system. I have been periodically adding water but also get air int he system when filling that way. I had a little trouble finding a place for it on my hydronic panel. Need a better means of attachment tot he panel (wall). I managed to rig something up-likely only temporary until I find a better way to attach. I was not sure I really needed the back flow preventer but installed it-the weight of the back flow part complicated the installation. Everything looking good now-fingers crossed.
