Used at the point of entry, Aqua-Pure standard whole house filters reduce sediment, rust, precipitated scale, iron and minerals from all water using appliances and plumbing fixtures throughout the home. Choose from several replacement cartridges for a custom filter application.
Cartridges must be purchased separately (not included) for AP102T model. See below. See spec. box for quantity required.

I will buy again
I had this for 12 years before the head valve burst. I removed it from my system. It works great and i will buy it again. I'm replacing my boiler and water heater. I'll install it with the new stuff. As another reviewer stated. It's smart to have shutoffs on both sides.

Worked great until the 6th filter change
The shut off valve at the top broke after the 6th use. Thankfully had had isolation ball valves and a by-pass.
If you buy it don't use the built in valve ever.

Be very careful installing and when changing filters.
This is a plastic product that can crack if anything on it is overtightened. They are ok and work fine for quite a number of years but can crack overtime. I would recommend spending a little extra and getting a stainless steel filter housing.

Filter out chlorine taste in city water supply. Also good to keep dirt and rust particles from entering plumbing system.

Whole House Water Filter
Had one previously and it started leaking from the cap. Must have been screwing on the bottom to tight and cracked it. Replaced it with same. No problem now. Always used 2 filters, but it is nice to know you can order just 1 larger filter.

Yes, I would buy this product again.
Easy to install and replace filter elements in. Removes particle contamination and/or bad taste and odor from water if the correct filter elements are used. Much more cost effective than filter pitcher or faucet attachment. Filters water for entire house.

Q: Do the filters operate in series or parallel?I ask because I would like to use a 50 micron filter for the primary input and then a 5 micron for finer filtering.

These dual cartridge filters act as one but doubles your filter area. Good if you have a lot of particles in the water. I usually pre-filter at 50 microns and then go to point of use it does not make sense to filter outside water, toilets ect. At point of use Go to 25 microns and then carbon block or purchase an all in one crm chemical removal filter for point of use feed to refrigerator supply and a separate faucet at the sink.
