No. There is no way to support the front plate tin on the existing heat covers. They are part of a complete system.
Timothy I'm not sure but just check measurement of both basic and premium if they are the same it will work, the end caps will be hard to gut unless you have a good metal saw or heavy duty snips
No, they only work with Premium Baseboarder covers. They are too big for normal baseboard covers. You have to use the standard solid end caps and cut it out to fit.
if you were going to do that it would probably not work out well, unless of course you had it done professionally but the cost would be quite high. I have them in every room in my house and the white color looks fine plus they don't rust even in the bathroom.
Yes.
Lightly scuff with 100 grit sand paper and Latex sticks fine. Can be sprayed with acrylic of enamel with no prep.
Yes you can. HOWEVER, they come with a baked powder coated enamel finish. I've had customers that wanted to paint them but I convinced them otherwise. If you did, de gloss with a chemical de glosser thoroughly. Finish up with a light sanding (180 or 220 grit) Clean thoroughly with mineral spirits. I use an HVLP sprayer for fine work, and use high quality oil based enamel properly thinned to spray. Trick is to do several light coats so the paint doesn't build up in the holes closing them off. Keep in mind this new finish will not be as durable as the factory finish.
best way to estimate size is use screw hole in upper right of picture. it is 1/8 to 3/16 diam. do the math. might help to use a picture tool on computer with a grid overlay. as long as you are close it does not matter since you only need to get close to manufactured specs. I would hazard a good guess that the short flanges are 3/8 " and the left cap side is 1.5"
7 ½'' Tall, 3'' wide. Exactly the same as the regular l/h cap but has the side cut out to accommodate a pipe coming through the wall into the room you're installing the baseboard cover in.
Hello Anthony, I’m not sure what you mean by “what size is it”, but all of the baseboard endcaps are 7 ½” high, 3 3/16” deep and 2 ¾” wide. All work with the available baseboaed covers and they look great! Hope that helps.
Probably not. These covers are designed to work with DIY baseboard heater covers, the sizing instructions for which can be found at the following link: http://www.baseboardheatercovers.com/installation.html
These end caps only come in white at this time.
