I was in search of a new manifold for my radiant heating system I was installing in the first floor (I have baseboard heat still on the second floor). I needed a manifold that was going to work well with both, handle very high temperatures (180 degrees for upstairs), was simple, had the zone-values/actuators installed on them.
As I was going to go with a less expensive one, I was faced with a few problems, the temperature of them wasn't able to handle what I needed. I also wanted to be able to mount the manifold anyway I wanted. In that case I was required to get an inverted manifold. The cost of those are much higher.
After much research, this manifold was everything I could of asked for and then some. It was extremely simple to install, I ended up saving money by not having my plumber spend more time than needed installing all the extra stuff.
It's extremely high quality too. My plumber is an old-school kind of guy (never worked with manifolds before) and he was like "wow they don't make stuff like how they used to but this feels like very high quality).
For the person who said it takes a long time for the motors to move, I didn't experience that. The motors move "slow" but to turn on and off a zone takes in the order of seconds. You can turn the whole system off (6 zones) in about 30 seconds. Not sure why or when you'd ever need something faster than that.
Lastly, the Customer Support is the biggest reason why I'd recommend them. I ended up feeling like I was best friends with one of the members at Cross Manifold. I had his cell phone on dial ready to go every time I had a problem and he was always there to answer my call and resolve it. Any issues or additions, he's a phone call away and can ship it out to you within days. I never would have expected this from any other customer support. They are amazing, the best I've ever worked with.

Looks great
The reason I gave it 3 stars is because motorized mechanism is extremely slow. If you have to turn on and off several loops at once it will take several minutes to get them going. With a smaller set up like a 4 loop system it would be much better. It does look very kool though. For how expensive it is knowing it was so slow I Wouldn't have gotten it. Too late already installed looks great and works. Had to custom install it.

Zero customer service
Good product, when it works. I've installed now 5 of these in customer houses, recently had an issue with the motor that drives the worm screw after only a few weeks of operation. You can't get ahold of anyone at the company, the number takes you to a voicemail, no replacement parts available that I was able to find. Supplyhouse.com did a great job of getting me the company info, but from that point it's a dead end. No product is perfect and you can't fix these manifolds if they break or malfunction, and you can't talk to a human. So for me, if you can't service it it isn't worth putting your reputation on the line by installing for a customer

Easy to setup & assign
Nice setup to have a different thermostat to control each port of the manifold through a much more reliable valving system then the traditional one.

Highly recommended
Installed winter 2021 and had some thermostat wiring issues and so had to manually turn the valves for last winter. Sorted out the wiring for this winter and it's now performing perfectly. The manifold was simple to install and the plumber who helped my installation was impressed by the integration of the thermostats with the zone valves. Quiet, efficient, no leaks and 100% uptime. This is truly an innovative product we will see how long it ends up lasting. The only issue I can foresee is an electronics failure at some point down the line but hopefully Ultrafin is still producing these and then it should be a head unit replacement at worst.

Still a young product, but high quality
I installed 3 of the 4 loop manifolds in my house. I agree the motors could be a little faster. My real issue with this manifold, and mainly the firmware, is TT to the boiler doesn't act like an 'end switch', it turns on as soon as a thermostat asks for heat. The manifold shouldn't inadvertently trigger a pump into a deadhead. This is hard on the system, unless you have either a pump delay built into the programming of your boiler, or a differential pressure bypass. Even with a differential bypass, you shouldn't overuse it. Other than that issue, this product seems of very high quality and I would definitely buy again, with that caveat in mind, and preparing for it.

The CROSS Manifolds are Awesome!!
The CROSS Manifolds are Awesome!! They are such a time saver & really give the installation a Clean, Organized Look. Well worth the extra money to use these ready-made manifolds, verses having to fabricate a manifold in the field. And, the customer support from the mfg. is really great; the guy I talked to was extremely knowledgeable & very helpful. He answered all my questions & even sent some fittings I need to connect with my system / PEX.

I buy this product again and again
I use this manifold on every boiler installation over 4 zones as my zone valve manifold. I can buy a larger one for future zones, saves installation time and electrician cost. And it looks great!

Innovative Product & Excellent Quality
This was a DYI Installation and I could not have done this project without the excellent service and selection from Supplyhouse.com!! In doing extensive online research I decided to do my own DYI install for an "Open Direct" staple up Radiant under floor heating system. This was installed as a retrofit into a 1992 walkout ranch with 1,350 SF on the main floor and 1,300 SF basement on the walkout level. The walkout level was unfinished. For our heat source we used high efficiency modulating propane domestic hot water heater and preheated with a Rheem Hybrid electric heat pump water heater. These heaters were installed in parallel. These heaters supply hot water to both our in-floor heating system and domestic hot water. The pump is a Grundfos ALPHA2 with Auto-Adapt technology and the manifold with the "Cross Manifold". For Thermosats we used Honeywell's new "T6 Pro" "Hydronic Programable" The first day this heat system went operational BOTH our electric and Propane usage dropped by 50% while heat comfort is amazing and we also doubled our domestic hot water capacity. Very Impressed with how this turned out and this system would not he same without the "Cross Manifold", Gurndfos ALHHA 2" "Dual Heat Source" and the new Honeywell Thermostat. This system is designed for 6 zones (3 up and 3 Down) and have 12 quantity 300' 1/2" PEX Loops. http://www.crossmanifold.com/ Cross Manifolds was also a huge help with process.

I would recommend this manifold to anyone.
As a former piping industry journeyman I was intrigued by the cross manifold setup and since I needed to convert from a single zone boiler system to a multi zone system, I decided to give it a try. It was beyond easy.
After a windstorm that caused extensive electrical issues, it blew the small 1.5 amp fuse on the controller. It was an easy fix. I called tech support anyway being a bit concerned about it.
They were extremely helpful, very responsive and answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. Thanks Malcolm. The system has turned my old house of 4 seasons (depending on what room you are in) to a very comfortable living space.

Great product and Great Service
I am a mechanical contractor and install a fair amount of Radiant. The manifolds in my house were 15 years old and needed an upgrade. I saw the cross in some trade magazines and found it on Supplyhouse.com and wanted to give it a try. The manifold is beautiful and watching it operate is so cool. I had a few questions and sent Cross an email at 8:00pm, Malcolm responded 20 minutes later and had my questions answered. I have been using the Cross for a few months now and would definitely advise on purchasing this manifold.
