Wide strap reduces duct compression
This is a nice, wide, strong duct hanging strap. The wide strap minimizes insulation compression on flexible ducts. If the flexible duct is really large and heavy (say, a 20 inch return duct), or if you want to be anal about not compressing insulation (which I am), add a Thermopan Flex Duct saddle. They are a about $1 each. To insure that this strap does not "pull out" (as another reviewer complained about), double over the end of the strap and use multiple staples or nails when securing the strap to an anchor point. Staples are easier to work with if you need to redo a hanging. With a pair of electrician's pliers or any pliers which have a wide nose, you can grab the entire width of the staple and wiggle it out.
